Looking Back..

As a new year approaches next week. It's kinda fun to look back and see where we have been this last year.

We started the year out with a 3 month old. Our sweet Jocelyn. She has turned out to be exactly what we named her. Jocelyn Bella - Joyous Beauty. What a rough start to her life we had. with 6 months of bedrest and no work for me. It made the new year very difficult. As always though, God provided for our family and we are still here today.

We took the kids to winder camp with us. Not knowing that would be mine and Jason's last year at winter camp as youth pastors at Creekside. It was fun to have them there. More work, but fun!

Then off for a little road trip to visit my great grandmother in St. John, WA for her 95th birthday. All the great-great grandkids were there. It was a lot of fun. Quite a long drive with a 4month old and a 2 1/2 yr old but good memories for sure.

Going back to work was a smooth transition after Jocelyn. Mostly because Jason is such a good father. He always has done so great with the kids. We are still able to work our schedules out so we don't need to use childcare. Means some serious crazy hours for this mama, but it's worth it!

The end of June Jason and i offically transitioned out of youth ministry. It was bittersweet for us. We were very ready to be done but the transition didn't exactly work the way we expected. Lots of ups and downs but in the end, Beyond has some great leaders who care and love the students. You can't ask for more than that.

Jason is the Associate pastor at Creekside now. It was a more difficult transition for me than i thought i would be. Being in youth ministry i always knew my "role". Kinda used to it after 10 years. But there really is no place for an associate's wife. So i've learned to enjoy sitting back and helping out where i'm needed. It has been a nice season in ministry for me. I'm looking forward to where God wants to use me. Until that time, i'll keep filling in where i'm needed.

Jason is still going after his masters at NU. Kept us very busy most the year. He had school through the summer as well. With a new baby, my work, his work, and school, it didn't leave much time for anything else. Thankfully we live so close to family members so we were able to sneak away on some mini vacation and dates with just Jason and I.

Ending the year the 4 of us our happy and healthy. We are loving that our kids are better travlers and not so "schedule" prone. I've raised the kids on a pretty good schedule, yet as they get older it's nice they can waver from it a bit!

For this next year we are looking forward to a mission trip to Cofradia, Mexico. The babies will be staying with my mom while Jason and I spend a week in Mexico. I'm just hoping my passport will come in time!
We are also planning on taking the family to Disneyland. This is something Jason and i have talked about for years and we are really excited! It'll probably happen in septemeber or october of 2010.
Looking forward to another wonderful year at the Creekside Church. Serving with my parents has been a blessings. Can't say we've found anything bad about it. Our church is amazing and we're looking forward to walking forward with the people of his church.
Judah will start pre-school this next year. My baby is getting so big. He's so ready to start. He's such a little social boy. He's going to love going to school and meeting all sorts of buddies!

I hope this new year finds you well! I posted some pictures looking back on the year past!
