SO annoyed that there was a new group of people smoking on the sidewalk. The side walk that leads me to the front door. Seriously, i was boiling. Not surprising to some. I smiled at them, said hello, but i was really thinking "children walk FAST and please don't take any deep breaths!"
So at lunch i asked my dad if we could put up no smoking signs or at least signs that say Hey, please smoke where people don't have to walk through you to get to the door!
OUCH!
Convicted by the Lord because of one line my hubby said to me!
He said...
"Kathy! These people sat through 1 1/2 hours of church to hear good news! I'm pretty sure you can handle walking through a little smoke!"
OUCH!
Sorry to those who i may have given a little "interesting" look to! I am forever in the process of being "changed" by the grace of God. Sometimes it hurts. I thought i was in the right by asking them to find another place, come to find out i go to church to help others, not for myself! Good reminder today!
I'm going through an interesting time in my life. God is flipping things upside down, inside out, and shaking me to my core! Things i always thought were right, he's showing me there's another way. In areas where i didn't even know pride existed, he's showing me it's there, and how to get rid of it. Painful at times, like today, but worth the journey to experience the true grace and joy of our precious savior Jesus Christ!
I'm enjoying the ride!
