Sweet Jocelyn Bella came into this world at exactly 9:27am in a rush of confusion...

I was admitted to the hospital the day before, for once again a raging headache and showing some early signs of preeclampisa. This was after 5 1/2 months of bed-rest.

The morning of 9/11 the doctor came by to tell me i would have an amniocentesis today and a specialist would come by to make sure Jocelyn was ready for delivery if that would need to happen. Needless to say i was freaked out of my mind thinking of a needle in my uterus!

Jason was staying with me, i think Judah was with my sister.  Jason went home in the morning to get Judah and take him home and clean the house. We were told Jocelyn would be born 9/12 in the morning so i started texting and calling everyone telling them i wouldn't be leaving the hospital. Our sweet girl we would meet in the morning.

During this time i was hooked up to the monitor and Jocelyn was showing signs of distress, which was unknown to me. I had just finished texting my best friend in California that Jocelyn would come tomorrow when 2 nurses came rushing in and poking me for an IV. They said sometimes they can give me fluids and maybe her heart rate will come down. My OB was seeing patients in her office, she called me on the phone to tell me to relax, but usually when the baby shows these signs we need to get her out.

AHH!!

Again, Jason was gone. I called my mom who was in Kirkland at work and said, Mom please standby, i'm alone and they think they have to take me to the OR soon. I'll call you if i need you. After a few more minutes, Dr. Wittman was in my room with the anesthesiologist and we were preparing for the OR, alone.

I quick called my mom, who amazingly, didn't listen to me to wait at her office and was heading to the hospital. She came at the perfect time. I was getting into the wheelchair!

Jason showed up while i was strapped and draped in the OR. The entire room cheered that he made it in time.

Sweet Jocelyn Bella was born perfectly on 9/11/08 at 9:27am. In a rush of panic and chaos, she was absolutely perfect and breathing fine.

Jocelyn I love you. You are the prefect addition to our family. Your name means Joyous Beauty, and you fulfill that perfectly. You are a beam of sunshine to our family and friends. You are cautious who you give your sweet smile to, but it is a sweet smile. You love to sing and learn new things. You are a blessing to you dad and mom's life!

I love you!
Love Mommy
