Written on walls

I was reading my bible this am to put a verse up on the window for the kids to read. I was reminded of why I have Isaiah 40:8 underlined in my bible...

Our trip to Honduras.

The team was putting cement in 9 posts for a home build that happened last week. Teri and I had just got done working in the clinic and i wasn't prepared with the clothes i was wearing to get messy. It was raining, so the sweet people who we were building a house for let me come into their home and sit. I noticed a verse written on the wall of their home. With what seemed to be a colored pencil, it was written in spanish, but i recognized Isaiah 40:8.

I randomly put my bible in my back pack that am, not sure if i'd have down time or not. So i pulled it out and read what it said...

"The grass withers and the flowers fall,
But the word of our God
stands forever."
Isaiah 40:8

Pretty great that they wrote it on their wall. Seeming to have nothing, wrote the true importance on their wall for all who come in. This was something i saw in many of the houses, scriptures scribbled on the walls of their home for all to see.

I think God's heart was happy. When all else fails, his word does not. He stands true to who he is. He does not change like the seasons.

He is dependable.
He is fair.
He is just.
He is worthy.

Write his word on your heart, keep it close.

Share his word with others. It is life changing to you, and to others.
