First week of kindergarten is done for Judah.
Whew! *wipes tears away*
Happy to say that is over.
This weekend I was trying to think about why it was such a hard transition. It was so unexpected. Judah is happy kid, eager to meet new friends, and never scared to be away from me or Jason. So when he stood their starring at us like "mom, what are you doing leaving me here"? I was heart broken.
Last Sunday we went and visited Canyon Creek church. Jason didn't have responsibility last week so he wanted to go check on a couple churchs to see how they run, for ideas and such.
As i was thinking why Judah had such a hard time at kindergarten I realized an important piece of his week was missing.
Church friends.
Church teachers.
My kids ask to go to church every day. Which I love and hope it forever stays that way. It means i'm not there to much, i'm there just enough that they always want to go back.
Judah thrives at church. He feels love from the leaders (hello love language = quality time!) and joy when he's with his friends.
I'm so thankful for a place that my kids are loved and feel safe. No matter what the week holds Judah goes back to church and is loved and hugged from people who love the Lord and him.
I think today was a good day because of his wonderful teachers yesterday at Next Generation kids church!
So thankful!
