One Word

I follow gritandglory.com.  Love Alece's heart. Never have met her but adore her openness through twitter and her blog. Sometimes i'm secret to her, other times i speak up. :)

This is the second year i'm making a new Years resolution centered around one word. Honestly, last year i wasn't very good at following my one word.  And this year, i had a terrible time finding one word to sum up what i wanted my year to look like.

I've been praying a lot these last few days after Jason's sermon on Sunday on the life of Job and God's restoration in his life. Through wrestling what God is doing in my heart, i've had a word continually come to mind. I realized this morning that it's my one word. I have found my word for the year. One word i want to define my daily life.

Ready?

Willing


To simple?

To huge?

I guess we'll have to see.  But for today, I'm willing...

to put others first
to seek God's direction in my life and not my own
to cherish my family
to honor my husband
and i'm willing, with reckless abandon, to show others the love of Jesus.
