Perfect Peace

"You keep him in perfect peace who's mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you." Isaiah 26:3

Perfect peace?

What does perfect peace look like?

I think peace of looking as a calm. A presence that isn't seen, but felt. Something which is palpable. You can sense when someone desperately needs peace. It's seen on their face, a longing for a quiet soul. But what is perfect peace?

To me.

Perfect peace means a calmness on the inside and outside. A peace that I know, i am not in control. Circumstances which are out of my control, i do not fret about. I have a peace that comes from a God who does not change. If i find my peace in a God who does not change, then my peace will never waver. Whatever circumstances come my way, my peace will not be shaken.

If my mind stays on the one who created me, why would my peace leave? It won't. Peace comes from a still heart focused on God. When i don't have peace, my eyes are fixed inward on myself and my own circumstances. I'm concentrating on fixing my life myself.

When my eyes are fixed on a God who sees past all the issues of my day, i realize from him, i gain a peace which quiets the loudest raging waters.

Working on a perfect peace today.
A peace which is palpable.
A peace that quiets others raging waters, not just my own.
A peace that all who see me can lean on me to find the one provider of peace, Jesus.
A peace that looks past my selfish being, and focuses on the true meaning of living a life full of Jesus.

peace

Praying all who seek-- find.
