Naked i will not..

Exhaustion got the better of the Deuman home last week. Nearing the end of our lead pastors sabbatical tension started to run a little high in our home. Jason is appearing more and more exhausted, quick to snap, and less patience. I was a mess of tears, emotions, and just plain mental breakdown. Reasons surrounding the exhaustion are far greater than our lead pastor's sabbatical, but it adds a level to our family that we know will be unloaded as soon as he gets back from his break.

Yesterday i asked Jason if we can start the countdown to Pastor Don's return and he said no. Last time we started a count down it was to leave the gym and it was to take 18 months and it took 4 years. Those of you that go to Creekside will laugh at that.

In my God time this morning, which i ultimately failed to do last week--hence the total breakdown and un-reliance on Jesus' strength, i was shown a great reminder.

Ephesians 6:14-17
Stand your ground, putting on the belt of truth and the body armor of God's righteousness. For the shoes, put on the peace that comes from the Good News so that you will be fully prepared. In addition to all of these, hold up the shield of faith to stop the fiery arrows of the devil. Put on salvation as your helmet, and take the sword of the Sprit, which is the word of God.

I think i went naked into battle last week....

This week i promise to dress appropriately.
